Dr Carmo A D'Cruz - Exemplified Excellence in Sports and Studies

Dr. Carmo D'Cruz was a true Stanislite.
He exemplified Excellence in Studies and Sports.
In 1975 He graduated from St. Stanislaus High School with a 74%
74% distinction Aggregate GPA in the SSC Board Exams. Throughout his scho;astic careerin St. Stanislaus he stood 1st or 2nd in his class.
In 1973 and 1974 he represented Maharashtra at the National
School Games in Jaipur and Agra respectively. In 1975 he
represented Bombay in the Junior National Hockey
Championships in Pune. In 1976 he secured admission in the
elite IIT through the All India Writtten Examination. Later
that year he was selected for the Junior India Combined
Universities Hockey Camp at NIS Patiala under the immortal
Balbir Singh Sr. In 1980 he was awarded a scholarship to
pursue MSEE Studies at Drexel University in Philadelphia in
the USA. He also sedured the job of coaching the Drexel
Dragonettes Women's Hockey Team. In 1982 he graduated from
Drexel with a MSEE Degree and got a lucrative co-op position as a
as a reseacher in the World famous Bell Labs. Upon authoring a
few research papers, he was soon hired by AMD which sponsore
him for his green card. In 1988 he was selected to play for
TeamUSA. He became a regular fixture for the TeamUSA Hockey.
In 2008 he was selected to represent TeamUSA for the post-
olympiad Hockey Season. In 2008 he was selected as the ASEE
Professor of the Year. Thus he culminated his wildest dreams
in Sports and Studies ! This is a True Stanislite !! And May
we have many more like him !!
