Breakfast Meeting: Using ICT's to transform St. Stanislaus
Date: March 30th, 2008
Venue: St. Stanislaus School Library
Time: 11am
Subject: Using computers as a tool for education and equipping students of St. Stanislaus for the future
The St. Stanislaus Ex-students Association together with Comet Media Foundation is organizing a Breakfast meeting on March 30th 2008 at 11am in the school museum. You are encouraged to attend as this meeting will present the opportunity to understand how computers can be used as a tool for education. The meeting will allow for discussion as to how you can play a role in making this a reality in St Stanislaus. An increasing number of schools in Mumbai are adopting computers for education and administration.
The primary aim of any school system is to equip learners to face life in the environment they live in. In the last two decades, Information and Communication Technologies or ICTs (normally referred to as "computers“) have come to play a vital role in how people live, learn and work. The huge growth of the use of the Internet and personal computers have contributed to this.
ICT’s are heavily used in business, manufacturing and government and has played a special role in India's economic growth in the last two decades.
It is our endeavour to equip each child at St. Stanislaus to face the challenges and benefit from the opportunities provided by this technology.
